“Ima Koko Map” (hereinafter referred to as “the App”) establishes the following Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as “this Policy”) to describe how Magic Works (hereinafter referred to as “the Provider”) collects, uses, and manages information provided by users (hereinafter referred to as “Users”).

1. Information Collected

The App collects and uses the following types of information:

User Information:

• Full name and email address that the User chooses to share through Apple’s “Sign in with Apple” feature
• Profile information voluntarily entered by the User

Location Information:

• Accurate location information obtained via GPS
• Approximate location information obtained via Wi-Fi or cellular network data

Chat Information:

• Text messages
• Images
• Location information
• Timestamps

Device Information:

• Type and version of the operating system
• Device identifiers
• Device model name

Usage Information:

• Information such as app launch time, usage duration, tap history, and feature usage collected via Firebase Analytics

Other:

• Any other information voluntarily entered or transmitted by the User

2. Purpose of Information Use

The Provider uses collected information solely for the following purposes:

Service Provision and Operation:

• User authentication and account management
• Provision of location-sharing and group chat functions
• Responding to inquiries and providing user support

Service Improvement and Development:

• Optimization and improvement of service functionality
• Analysis of usage and creation of statistical data
• Development of new features

Prevention of Misuse:

• Detection of unauthorized logins and prevention of account misuse
• Filtering of spam messages
• Responding to violations of the Terms of Use

Other:

• Providing important notifications, including updates and changes to terms
• Disclosures required by law

3. Information Sharing

Sharing within Groups:

• Location information is shared only among members of specific groups that the User has created or joined.
• Text messages, images, and other content posted in group chats are visible to other Users within the same group.
• When a User leaves a group, their location information will be deleted, but previously posted chat messages may remain if other Users are still in the group.

Provision to Third Parties:

As a general rule, the Provider does not disclose Users’ personal information to third parties.
However, personal information may be provided without obtaining the User’s consent in the following cases:

• When required by law or upon a formal request from law enforcement authorities
• When necessary to protect a person’s life, body, or property, and obtaining consent is difficult
• When cooperation is required with national or local government institutions performing legally mandated duties, and obtaining consent is difficult
• When sharing information with contractors necessary for service operation (e.g., server management companies, data analysis companies) under confidentiality agreements ensuring proper data protection
• When business succession occurs due to mergers or other reasons, provided the successor entity maintains equivalent levels of personal information protection

4. Handling of Location Information

• The App provides a function that obtains and shares the User’s current location.
• Location information is retained only as long as necessary for service provision.
• Location data is collected only with the User’s in-app permission and is used solely for necessary features.
• Only the most recently updated location per group is stored.
• Location accuracy may vary depending on GPS, Wi-Fi, and mobile network conditions.
• If location access is denied, real-time location sharing will not be available.

5. Data Management and Security

The Provider takes the following measures to properly protect the collected User information:

• Technical safeguards to prevent unauthorized access
• Restriction of access to stored data
• Encryption of data during transmission
• Authentication mechanisms to verify Users
• Access control systems for stored data
• Measures to prevent unauthorized app usage
• Incident response system for security breaches
• Safe and prompt deletion of information after retention periods expire

6. User Rights

Users have the following rights:

Review and Correction:

Users can review and correct their personal information held by the Provider through in-app features.

Stop Location Collection:

Users can stop the collection of location information at any time through their device settings.

Account Deletion:

Users can delete their account from within the app.
When an account is deleted, all associated data will, in principle, be erased, except where retention is required by law.

The Provider complies with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information of Japan and other applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines to ensure the appropriate handling of personal data.
